Social media streams scroll past our eyes at the speed of light with each post hoping to grab our attention. With each one of us having thousands of connections, the stakes are high and like the players at that weekend poker game, most of those posts come out losers. Even the winner’s high is short lived when the cards don’t fall in their favor the following week.
Focusing on numbers and distributing your content to the masses is a failing strategy. Even Big Entertainment has trouble with this approach, and they have billions to capture eyeballs.
What’s an entrepreneur to do? Well, I’ve invited a few friends over to help solve the problem of working within the Social Media Noisemaker.
Alexandra Riecke-Gonzales is a teacher, a student, and a purveyor of communication. Alex is doing some really interesting things to communicate with her students, the most creative is “Glass In The Class” which brings the outside world right smack dab into the classroom.
Zara Altair is a straight shooter who brings a unique perspective on all things digital. Her Midweek Zap weekly show provides actionable information on how to stand out in this crowded space we all find ourselves in.
As with every Rule Breaking Ideas episode, I’ll be taking questions and sharing your thoughts and ideas, so I hope you can join us live. If you can’t make it, please leave your question, idea or thought on the event page. I’ll make sure it gets addressed so you can catch it on the replay.
About Rule Breaking Ideas
Rule Breaking Ideas airs every week at 1PM MT / 3PM ET / 12PM PT on Google+, YouTube, and PhilBowyer.com, and various asylums around the globe. If you would like to support my efforts to change the crazy world of marketing (and to help get my cult off the ground) please check out my Patreon page: http://patreon.com/philbowyer. Thank you for any support you can give, whether it’s in dead president form, or sharing Rule Breaking Ideas with the people you love.
If you would like to be notified of future shows, let me know, and I’ll add you to my notify circle (which is only used for this show).
