Why do whales, dolphins and sharks breach, or jump out of water? The reason is still unknown today. Some theories suggest playful behaviour, others prefer dominance, some suggest hunting while many suggest breathing. A whale needs to travel 8 meters per second in order to clear 90% of its whole body out of water. Why do you think these mammals breach?
