Went to see Lucy this afternoon.

Went to see Lucy this afternoon. A long-time fan of Luc Besson. From Le Dernier Combat on. This one notches up his constant theme (Oh, go watch The Fifth Element if you don't know) to agape.
Nicolas Simonin and Mani Saint-Victor I'd love to know your professional views if you see this film. (You two should meet. Hint. Hint.)
martin shervington What did you think?
David Amerland Would love your take if you see this film and connectivity.

Personally, if you like the mix of sci-fi and  Scarlett Johansson, I preferred Under The Skinhttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt1441395/
Played at a small art house theatre near you...briefly.

  4. It was interesting - though pretty hard to follow. I felt that thematically it was sort of like 'the Nines' - but with a vastly different presentation.

  13. Mani Saint-Victor Besson explores, in his films, both the element of being alien and an empowered female. And his choice of female lead here is not going to disappoint.

  14. Mani Saint-Victor Always best to approach without high expectations. This works better as a concept than a story.
    See Grizwald Grim above.

  15. Mani Saint-Victor I think we'd better check with Peter Hatherley about wordsmithing that concept. :)
