Went to see Lucy this afternoon.
Went to see Lucy this afternoon. A long-time fan of Luc Besson. From Le Dernier Combat on. This one notches up his constant theme (Oh, go watch The Fifth Element if you don't know) to agape.
Nicolas Simonin and Mani Saint-Victor I'd love to know your professional views if you see this film. (You two should meet. Hint. Hint.)
martin shervington What did you think?
David Amerland Would love your take if you see this film and connectivity.
Personally, if you like the mix of sci-fi and Scarlett Johansson, I preferred Under The Skin. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1441395/
Played at a small art house theatre near you...briefly.

I thought it was good. . Not great but Good.
ReplyDeleteSaw it yesterday... My official review: MEH
ReplyDeleteChristopher Brooklyn Yep. Agree.
ReplyDeleteMatt Weasel :))
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting - though pretty hard to follow. I felt that thematically it was sort of like 'the Nines' - but with a vastly different presentation.
ReplyDeleteGrizwald Grim It was. Interesting does not a great story make.
ReplyDeleteJust watced the Movie today. Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteNot a fan.
ReplyDeleteMani Saint-Victor whenever. I'll be interested in your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteThe calling mommy scene left me with a lot to think about
ReplyDeleteGrizwald Grim Like what? I thought that I would call my daughter. :)
ReplyDeleteHow much we forget, and how distant and vague what we do remember is.
ReplyDeleteGrizwald Grim Yes. Thanks for taking it further.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen it yet - need to free up some time :)
ReplyDeleteMani Saint-Victor Besson explores, in his films, both the element of being alien and an empowered female. And his choice of female lead here is not going to disappoint.
ReplyDeleteMani Saint-Victor Always best to approach without high expectations. This works better as a concept than a story.
ReplyDeleteSee Grizwald Grim above.
Mani Saint-Victor I think we'd better check with Peter Hatherley about wordsmithing that concept. :)
