Hmmm.

Hmmm. Great new segmentation. Real life grounding is always good. I looked at the 11 hashtags and...well...I'm not in.
Briefly thought maybe I don't have a real life. :) I'll have to think about this.

Life in the Village: Eleven Themes
The eleven themes are for sharing stories from our lives and what we're up to, as well as helping others engage in the conversations:
1. Wellness and Food #wellness
2. Travel and Travelogues #travelogue
3. Arts, Crafts & Design #design
4. HowTo's, DIY and all-round tinkering #howto
5. Open Science #openscience
6. Good Business #goodbusiness
7. Fun, Play, Playful Play and Infinite Games #infinitegames
8. Services and Service Innovation #serviceinnovation
9. Transition, Social Capital and Societal Innovation #transition
10. P2P and new forms of organizing #p2p
11. New Housing, Placemaking and Permaculture #newhousing
Why: Some of the reasons for opening this topic
- handing over moderation to other Conversation Community members
- anchoring our conversations a bit more with life in the village
- sharing glimpses from across the planet
- offering at least one dedicated topic where John Kellden will not mention Biosemiotics
- engaging in conversations making for a space where community members can share, selforganize, feel at home and share stories from our lives
- different themes towards including more members
And a couple of thousand other reasons. To cover Life in the Village through these eleven themes, lenses is of course impossible - which means they can be seen as a beginning smorgasbord, where additional #sharedinterests can be added to the menu. Let's start with the above eleven hashtags for now, and then we can branch out and turn #folksonomy as we go along...
Put on your Sunday clothes, There's lots of world out there...
Is there anything that doesn't belong here? Well, as long as there's a conversational intent - people posting being present, facilitating fab conversations with others - then pretty much anything goes - as long as it is Village-y.
If it is about Life in the Village, it can be shared here.
How: How do I post stuff in this topic?
Share something from your Life in the Village, select one of the eleven hashtags, eg #design and press the green button. Engage in the ensuing conversation. That's about it!

Zara Altair I don't think I believe you. I can see several possibilities right off the top. You have a business I see, so perhaps #goodbusiness , Why not share with us what makes you good at what you do? Also everyone should be able to have fun with #infinitegames I have been thinking of starting a photo scavenger hunt. I just have to come up with a prize.
ReplyDeleteSo, come and take part. We can make more numbers, we simply can't do with less of you.
Margaret Siemers Hi. Thanks. I was looking for conversation "not business" but I can certainly do that. I was reading about biosemiotics:0 which really got my attention.
ReplyDeleteZara Altair lol, that is not allowed here, well at least John Kellden is not allowed to enter using it. : )
ReplyDeleteSo, what do you like to talk about? If you are looking for conversation, I am pretty sure we can find folks to accommodate. What would interest you? We can easily adjust the list to accommodate. For you, I promise, we will adjust the list to accommodate. You just have to give me something to work with.
How to have a life in the midst of all digital distractions, might be a great perspective for a post or three! :)
