Invite anyone into a Hangout On Air using a Google Apps guest account.
If you need to bring someone into a Hangout On Air as a guest, they used to need a Google+ account. Recent changes make it possible for a "Google Acount" to join a HOA. (not the same as a Google+ account).
Google Apps have been improving the Hangouts experience and can now participate in Hangouts On Air.
In this video I'm joined by Greg Cooper of Front of Mind Coaching. Greg takes on the role of a LinkedIn connection that I want as a guest in a HOA.
I sent the instructions and account credentials to Greg in a message on LinkedIn and he was able to join and participate in this live HOA using the guest apps account.
In addition to benefits to HOA hosts, I'm looking into ideas for using Google Apps accounts to manage projects for clients. Setting up an apps user account for a client allows us to use Google Products (Drive/Sheets/Drawings/Slides, etc.) while we work on the project. The client does not need to have a G+ account and the project can benefit from live hangouts even if the project has nothing to do with Google or Google+ training.
