Unconscious biases influence our actions every day, even when—by definition—we don’t notice them. Combating biases is hard for this very reason, but it’s also necessary in order to create a work environment here at Google that supports and encourages diverse perspectives and people (not to mention make products that work for everyone).

ReplyDeleteCarl Jung said, "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." I also like what Rudolph Steiner's said in his book "Philosophy of Freedom"..."You only have free will to the extent that you are conscious of what motivates you to action."
