Slides vs. Video
Audience feedback to think about. If you have a midday presentation, you may want to adjust.

You have to admire our dedicated audience
One of the suggestions on how to improve our show responses from a recent audience survey for Google+ Business Spotlight:
"Share slides not just video - at work slides look like you are working, a video does not."
Dear Dedicated #gplusspotlight Audience Member Who Doesn't Want to get Busted at Work,
GREAT POINT! We will do our best to have more screenshares of slides, charts, graphs, and would suggest you not tune in to the October 22 show featuring Bandit so your boss doesn't accidentally come to your desk and see you watching a dog video on YouTube :)

My question is, how stable is the screen share feature OR is it better from a production standpoint to rock a second computer that is dedicated to slide/screen share full time?
ReplyDeleteGeorge Green (waves Hi) Not everyone has a second computer. From a production standpoint a dedicated second computer for display keeps things clean. On the other hand, the more tech the more potential glitches. :) Let's see what GPLUSSPOTLIGHT has to say.
ReplyDeleteGeorge Green (Stephan here), I've noticed the best stability when I share a specific window, not the full screen. And for ease of switching, having that second window up on a second monitor has been very helpful but obviously isn't necessary. Hope that helps.
