Here's what's coming from Google in 2015!

The Ars Technica  "Google Tracker 2015: Everything we know Google is working on for the new year" is an amazing resource for what's coming from Google in 2015.

Smart Home Automation

Google owns several home automation companies (like Nest), acquired in 2014, and we'll likely be seeing some more integrated offerings in 2015. With Google's purchase of Revolv, they are positioned with a home automation hub.

More Android Innovation

Integrated fingerprint support, user controlled app privacy settings, split screen apps.. oh my! Not to mention the ability to run nearly any Android app in a Chrome browser. More updates to Android Auto, probably moving in the direction of a fully integrated car infotainment system.

Google Hangouts

Google purchased an instant messaging company called "Emu", with suggestive features based on your conversation. This seems like a good fit for Google, with their Google Now service and may be able to suggest things like local restaurants if you're talking about going out on the town with friends in your text conversation.

Ultrasonic, cross-platform device pairing with Copresence

All devices have speakers and microphones, and Google may be working on a way of using ultrasonic sound waves to pair devices. This would work across devices like Android to iPhone etc.

Technology like this, would enable Google Now to understand who you're with and add reminds like, "Next time I'm with Bob, remind me to ask him about his cool hat".

Material Design for the Web

Google has been updating interfaces on Android and iOS, but has largely left out Web design. Expect to see more material design on the Web for 2015.

Chromecast 2.0

Chromecast is one of the most popular new Google products of 2014, and according to Ars we can expect an update to Chromecast 2.0 in 2015. We may see features like second screen interactions, improved Chrome tab casting and a faster 5GHz WiFi connection.

Virtual Reality (VR) with Cardboard

According to Ars, Google has launched an entire new division to support and develop Google Cardboard. We can expect to see more innovation in VR from Google in 2015.

Google X and Life Sciences

Google is making major strides in bio-medical engineering, and it's coming from the Google X division.

"The mission of Google X Life Sciences is to change healthcare from reactive to proactive. Ultimately it’s to prevent disease and extend the average lifespan through the prevention of disease, make people live longer, healthier lives." -Andrew Conrad, Head of Google X Life Sciences

Projects include:

- Smart contact lenses
- the Baseline Study
- Continuous monitoring via disease-detecting nanoparticles
- Liftware, a stabilized spoon for tremor sufferers
- Calico

More from Google X

- Moffett Airfield, home to one of the worlds largest free standing structures to be used for:

"research, development, assembly, and testing in the areas of space exploration, aviation, rover/robotics, and other emerging technologies"

- Self-driving cars
- Google Glass 2—powered by Intel
- The Google X Display Division
- modular phones with Project Ara

Happy New Year Google+, and may 2015 be a prosperous one for us all!
