Growing Pains...

As people we go through quite a painful process of childhood and adolescence where we struggle with the concept of who we are and what we are meant to do in the world. I find it incredible that entire businesses spring up without ever having undergone that same soul-searching. Now, here’s what happens when we, as people, don’t. We grow up, get a job (and maybe even start a family), enjoy a career and, at some point in our lives, we kinda ‘wake up’ and have a mental or psychological breakdown.

It’s not that anything has drastically changed around us. It’s just that we realized that we barely make an impact on the world, we hardly exist and just existing is far from easy. The realization is enough to make us falter.

Businesses that fail to successfully internalize their identity also have similar breakdowns for some very similar reasons.

  3. David Amerland Always loved Jack London's phrase from Martin Eden: works performed.
    What's written is written.
    I can't wait either. :)
