I once grew a Pin Oak from seed. Started it in a planter then moved it to a good spot in the back yard. Babied that thing for 5 years or so. They sure do grow slow compared to my willows. Sad end to the story. It ended up I had planted it to close to the shed and property line so it had to be cut down. Lesson learned!
