"Targeting influencers" is a business marketing strategy that is being, increasingly, offered as a practical way for businesses to successfully scale their marketing efforts in the social media sphere.

Beyond the fact that it insults the intelligence of those whom the business is targeting as well as those whose attention it hopes to gain, it also runs the risk of deprecating marketing into an eyeballs capture game predicated upon perceived powerbrokers with large follower numbers in social media.

How do we get past the pitfalls and make this work so that it delivers real value to all its stakehoders? Is it even possible?

To help us explore all this is Danny Brown, marketer, consultant and author of Influence Marketing: How to Create, Manage, and Measure Brand Influencers in Social Media Marketing.

This is one more #SMTPowerTalk , in the host's chair will be David Amerland with Alexandra Riecke-Gonzales as co-host and John Ellis of SEOWiSE behind the wheel.
