Now on Tap, the next generation of Google Now

Google has been working on contextual awareness for sometime now, and the semantic web (you've got to follow David Amerland for all things semantic web related) is a perfect example. The Google Now app, is another excellent example of Google's ability to be contextually aware.

Now on Tap brings contextual awareness to a whole new level. Google Now on Tap is fully aware of each app you're using, and can give you answers within that context. For example, in the email below, the context is about the movie Tomorrowland and Google Now on Tap understands that context.

Other examples shown at Google IO15 were listening to a song, and asking Google what an artists real name is, but without naming that artist. Google Now on Tap understood the context, and provided an intelligent answer in context.

Amazingly, this feature doesn't require any app modifications, as Google Now on Tap will be integrated with Android M.
