Ever heard of SEO CREEP
Well that is what happens over tine as your pages are more optimized for search than they should be, but is an issue that happens over time...
this is when marketers do not keep tabs on changing trends, both within the online environment and the off line environment.
The issues within the online environment are when search engines change , or tweak, their algorithms as in issues such as Google, Panda, penguin or hummingbird. the issues within the off line environment are when your intended target market changes their habits, thinking patterns or prefeances to issues, which influence their terminology that would be used when they create search queries.
These rather slow and often unnoticed changes mean that your SEO falls out of sync with the real world, and you do need to adjust your thinking and make changes to your web site from time to time.

Great Post :) this happens in almost every project regardless if it is me or an agency I consult for ...
ReplyDeleteWilliam Rock It does! Goes with the territory. Tweak! Tweak! :)
ReplyDeleteWe are always making adjustments but ... the hard part is when a scheduled project goes a stray .... Creep is more like we agreed on things but they want more...
ReplyDeleteChange after change, and sometimes you just have to put the breaks on as the manager...
My question to others would be HOW would you do discuss this topic in a Polite way ? and not to offend the client :)
William Rock Whaoh! Depends on the client. It's like kid's. If you bring them along from the beginning, it's easier...kinda. :)
