Good news for all Bed & Breakfasts! The error-prone booking prompt in Google Knowledge Panels are (sort of) fixed!

Correction: not gone, still there, but with a much better error/missing message.

To recap, for lots of bed and breakfasts there was an advertisement widget in the Knowledge Panel showing for bed and breakfasts to enable search visitors to book a stay directly through the knowledge panel.

The problem was, as most B&Bs don't use the large booking services, that this widget was showing "no availability" when a user ran a search, because it didn't have any availability information to query against.

This was a huge problem for many bed & breakfasts.

I’m happy to inform you that the “no known availability” booking widget has been removed and replaced with the message: "Check website for rates and availability". I’m sorry for any inconvenience or trouble this has caused you.

Please note, this change has been implemented for all english users accessing Hotel Search on Google. We will switch all users to this message once it's been translated and updated for Hotel Search on Maps.
