+Lori Osterberg is a blog writer for small business. She shares her expertise on writing behind the scenes, ghost writing, for businesses

Blog writing works in two ways. First, it helps you be very specific with your content. And the more specific you are with your content, the easier it is to reach out to an exclusive group of people looking for what you have to offer. Second, blog writing provides content. People are smart, knowledgeable and educated when they are ready to make a purchase. They search with their mobile devices, and when they find what they want, they buy.

About Lori:
When I’m online, I’m primarily in my business mode. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of facets to who I really am.

#1 – I love life. I’m an optimist by nature. I love my amazing husband and my incredibly gifted daughter (yep, I’m biased, but she’s my only child! ;) ). I love hiking with my dog. I love trying new things. I love dinners with friends. I love exploring the world. I love sharing a great bottle of wine. I love new ideas. I love learning about the world. I love reading. I love a fire on a cold night when it’s snowing outside. I love walking on the beach barefoot. I meditate every morning. I only eat vegetarian. And I love a great debate.

#2 – Family and personal growth comes in #1. But right behind it is my love of small business marketing. I spend most of my time learning this stuff, or helping others understand it just a bit better. I’ve owned three successful small businesses. I’ve written articles for a ton of magazines, newspapers and online journals. I’ve been a columnist for the Denver Business Journal. I’ve keynoted and presented at a variety of seminars and workshops. I coach people from around the world. I read everything I can get my hands on about new marketing strategies – and I also attend seminars and workshops to stay at the tippy-top of what’s happening in the industry. And I love to share it all and help people accomplish their online goals easily and quickly.

Yep, I love what I do. I work from home on a dining room table I share with my husband. We love to head out for lunch a couple times a week. We love doing meetups and get togethers to bring in new ideas. And of course we love traveling – we’re gearing up for a lot more of it as our daughter is now in college over 1200 miles from home, and we know our “dining room” table can be any where in the world.
