Gwen Hernandez I checked the title in the binder.

Gwen Hernandez I checked the title in the binder. No unnecessary marks. I've set, reset, set, reset the spacing of title and text. Title is tagged as title, text as my narrative fiction style.
Thanks so much for your help and input.

As you can see this does not happen in other chapters in this book, or in other books I have compiled with these compilation settings.

I'm mystified.

  1. The TOC pulls directly from the Binder, so I still think it has to be your Binder title. The best way to find out is to delete the existing title in the Binder (make sure you get it all) and then retype. Then re-compile and make sure you're looking at the new version. I'm not trying to talk down to you, but I've seen this many times and those are the mistakes my clients have made repeatedly. ;-)

  3. Gwen Hernandez Haha! I didn't think you were talking down to me. I knew it was some simple tweak.
What I didn't see the first time was that beyond the title was a large space and then the first sentence of the text.  Went way out on the line deleted everything, retyped title, compiled. Everything perfect.
Thank you so very, very much!!!!!!
