I am not sure I agree that this example is representative of a "Tribe", as it was the decision of an "Individual" to defy his "Tribes" action of War... An "Individual" action can carry more 'thrust' to choosing an "action of humanity" than a collective... as has been noted by the inaction of a crowd to assist those in need.

My comment is only in reference to the above video clip... as it was the "lone" German pilot who decided not to finish off the bomber crew and flew near the damaged bomber so that ground fire would not try to bring them down. Of course, I am also reminded of The British hero who did not shoot Hitler - http://goo.gl/KIOuxU
