Blog Blueprint

Blog Blueprint

If you ever wondered why your content writer doesn't whip out a blog in an hour, Jason Darrell shares the skeleton to construct before writing.

If you are a business learning to write your own content use this blueprint as your base.

Then, keeping your target market in mind, set the tone so your language matches theirs. Whatever the "structure" it is better to talk to your market in a conversational style than freeze up trying to squeeze what you say into a framework.

These are good guidelines, but they are not carved in stone. One of the ways you can differentiate your business from your competitors is to stand out. Stand out not just with your product or service but with who you are.

If you have a sense of humor, like Jason does, let it show. A sense of humor and professionalism are not mutually exclusive.

The main goal of your blog is to answer questions your prospective customer has, or, better yet, a question they didn't know they had by engaging them in what you say.

  2. To wear a haircut like mine, you have to have a sense of humour, Zara Altair.

Thanks for the share - and for your awesome, tailored intro. #YouRock

Countdown to procedure 1 is under way; Tuesday 12:30 pm I go under the knife. Aargh!

Told my wife about our project and she's over the moon. Can't wait for me to get started.

I've began drafting it out, but I do have a little confession. I'd actually began writing something similar - but totally forgot about it!

It was pinned to my MS Word program. Talk about serendipity!

As I'm out of action most of next week, I'm going to go through what I'd written before and bring it up to date.

The MS Word version it was created in was Word 2010 - so, yep. It does need some updating. ;)

Have a great weekend, Zara - and you, Keith Moore; so glad to have been a help.
