Because Gaudi...again.

Because Gaudi...again.
I was about 15 years old the first time I saw a picture of Gaudi's Sagrada Familia.
It was one of those moments when my young mind exploded with possibilities. That architecture was more than just form (apologies to Louis Sullivan https://goo.gl/dfdFEH) and that it could be intriguing, beautiful, and celebratory. And it Gaudi's case made up of bits of life.
The next year when I started university as a double major in zoology and English, I audited architecture classes so I could learn more. There they were, on campus. Why not? Thousands of slides later I was hooked.
Architecture is the great what if of living and working space.
Whenever I travel I look at the local architecture, new and old, to get a sense of place.
I must have instilled this in my daughter because she designed a home built around a courtyard in traditional Latin style but constructed like a cabane ostreicole in southwest France with vertical wood slats and windows.
