Google Reviews Just Got Easier - G+ No Longer Required

The only requirement being that they also leave use a first and last name but the requirement to have a full G+ account is now gone..."

  1. So what's going to keep them honest and not fake now?

  2. Randy Milanovic A good question and best answered by Google. What I see is that a reviewer is still under the lion's paw, the grip is just looser. Although reviewers are not required to have a Google+ account, they still need some kind of Google affiliation such as a gmail account and they must enter both first and last name.

  3. It's not like they were always honest before. :D  Anyway, technically having a gmail account is almost the same as having a G+ account, isn't it?  Even if you never use it or deactivate it, they're not (at heart) different things.

I agree, a user could have many gmail accounts, of which one could be connected to a g+ profile like "Toney Dikhead" as much as another could be a "George Washington" on Google+ and neither of this could really change a thing about the user's intentions.

  5. Iblis Bane and Rotimi Orimoloye Agree, which makes us agree with Randy Milanovic :) It would be interesting to hear Google's perspective on the answer.
