The LSU AgCenter has developed an eye drop that can prevent and treat cataracts. The eye drops are made from lutein which is a naturally occurring antioxidant. By directly applying the drops to the eye, it believed that this formula will prevent formation of cataracts.

It's "believed to be" or is it know and proven to be?. No thanks I don't want something that could rot my eyeball out later. My sister had her cataracts removed 30 years ago with laser and has not had a problem since. In fact my whole family has with no issues. I think I am the last one that hasn't had them yet (late bloomer lol)
