Tracking Forms

Tracking Forms
Another practical HOA from Productive Computer Systems !

Interestingly enough - both parts of the topic actually make sense (if you know what it's about). It's likely that you don't (I don't allow anyone into my brain), so I'll give you a hint or two of what this is about.

Many businesses use coupons for marketing purposes and they do so because... well, they work... at least some of the time. People love deals and coupons allow for deals to be relayed and transacted.

Some send out direct mailers, others advertise in local magazines and newspapers (hello Dan McDermott) and, as with any advertising - some of this works, while some not so much (sorry Dan McDermott).

It's both time consuming and expensive to create coupons and get them into the public's hands... but what's even more challenging is tracking them. The only way to see if a marketing campaign was successful or not is to track it somehow.

Many businesses still subscribe to the dreaded paper approach, while others adopted apps and other digital approaches, which don't necessarily work easily with paper and require way too much hassle for employees as well as customers. Not a great solution.

In this HOA I'll show you a somewhat different approach, it'll be all digital (remember, #nopaper  is one of the key hashtags of PCS) and it'll be simple for all parties and there will be zero programming involved (I can see Zara Altair with a smile of relief).

Any business owner who's currently using coupons, via traditional methods, ought to take a look at this alternative approach - they'll be guaranteed to save time/money and provide a better customer service experience to their clients.

  1. Thank you, Zara Altair. This doesn't have to be just used for offers... any time something specific needs to be tracked - this simple-to-implement and use approach could be used. It requires some setup, but doesn't involve any programming and, if done digitally - doesn't cost anything!
