This is something that we've discussed and written about before, and it's not even a reflection of screen size. It's a usability and user experience issue. And not even about "capturing their attention!" so much as it's about not getting in the way of their goals.
ReplyDeleteIn our mind we've changed it from Above the Fold to be Keeping their Interest and keeping out of the way of their goal completion.
And that changes from site to site, page to page.
