Get notified when a Hangout on Air goes live by subscribing on YouTube

Tomorrow, September 12th, Hangouts on Air will be moving to YouTube Live Events. That means no more Google+ HOA Events.

If you want to be sure that you don't miss your favorite show, subscribe to your favorite Hangout on Air (HOA) producers on YouTube and get notified when they go live.

Here's how to get channel notifications using a desktop computer.

1. If you don't subscribe to their channel yet, find an existing Google+ Hangout on Air Event
http://plus.google.com/events

2. On the Event page in the Details box, click "Links"

3. Copy and open the YouTube video watch page URL

4. Click the red Subscribe button

5. Click the Gear icon to the right of "Subscribed"

6. Select "Send me all notifications"

7. Save the changes

If you are using a mobile device, open the video or channel in the YouTube app, subscribe, and then click the bell icon.

You can change the notification settings:

If you want to change notifications settings for multiple channels, do that in your Subscription Manager
