Machines, Science, Mind

Machines, Science, Mind
Thoughts from Bernard Vatant

There are more and more things indeed in heaven and earth that we know of, and we are more and more eager to accept the unknown ones we discover every day. But the ones our poor imagination might be forever unable to fathom are those new ghosts haunting our intelligent machines. Are we ready to welcome those strangers?

  1. Ask one of them what Tom thinks of Mary's view of her husbands attitude about technology.

They best they can 'create' are machines which can perform simple injunctions. These people are worrying about a canard.

  2. They pose a more serious danger to us if we let them convince us of their being intelligent.

Our fear is what is desired. Then any thin veil of plausibility will cover up the fact that these machines are being controlled by some drone operator who is 'human' (without any moral nor ethical bearing) like is being done in their various war 'theatres' overseas. (Coming soon to our shores.)

It will be a drone operator reciting your infractions to you as his 'intelligent' machine rips your arm out of its socket for not complying with their edicts.

I didn't mean to criticize your very good article. Most of it was excellent.

I don't know what 'conspiracy theory' has to do with this though, as I am stating a fact.

#AI has many uses, but it has nothing to do with real intelligence.

In fact, it has more to do with real stupidity!

Mind is NOT something that is fabricated; rather, it can only be participated in.

AI, as a 'science', is a #fraud . The technology; however, does have many uses. It would be foolish to think that all these uses are purely benevolent in nature. I mean: look who the major 'players' are...

This has NOTHING to do with your use of the term 'conspiracy theory', as it was designed for marginalisation of our thinking in the first place... and that's NOT intelligent.

  4. Bernard Vatant No problem here. Thanks for your last comment.

I think we're closer on this issue than it looks. I am also uneasy, but for me it's about this fraud being forced into our trusting minds from the very same people who profit most from it.

They say if you tell a lie big enough and long enough... everyone begins to believe it.
