First Nest Exploration
This livestream of an eagle nest is just amazing.https://goo.gl/mbhGgL
Here's a clip of the hatchling's first big adventure out of the nest cup to almost the edge of the nest.
Many teachers are livestreaming this in the classroom. The site will be up until the eaglet leaves the nest, probably some time in May.

Nature truly is phenomenal, watching the birth of raptors is such a beauty to behold
ReplyDeletewhen I had my Ranch out in eastern Colorado they were a pair of peregrine Falcons
That would come and nest every year and bring up their young it was asolutely wonderous to watch and how they would teach their young to hunt
MicheleElys Mer I love watching Peregrine falcons fly. Even more White Tailed Kites that seem to hover in the air.

I agree, while here in Colorado we have a huge assortment of raptors, watching those Peregrines off the ranch each year was a real treat. They are incredible parents, very patient teaching their young from 1st flight to hunting. Graceful and love the family unit until time came for the young to be off on their own. It was wonderful watching the same pair. Never knew nor would I go hunting for the nest, it was sacred to me.
Cheers and Thank you
