AI and understanding the meaning of language

"Computers have got much better at translation, voice recognition and speech synthesis, says Lane Greene. But they still don’t understand the meaning of language"

CI (aka Conceptual Intelligence) is a field that my company has been focusing on over the past 10 years. It is not based on an artificial intelligence (or a simulated intelligence) it is based on the use of context, from a human sense, in establishing the meanings hidden within linguistic roots.

  1. Peter Hatherley Thanks for sharing. I haven't had time today to get to The Economist.
