sharing photos testing out early powerwall installations :)
so, PV solar, right ???
WRONG !!!
PV solar AND battery storage :)
what, the, who the, why the ... huh ?
smart money will arbitrage their power ... in other words, buy LOW and sell HIGH !!!
buy power at night (when electricity is least expensive) and store it in your powerwall; sell it during peak hours when electrical rates are highest #getpaid
this goes on all the time in commodities markets, big players make fortunes (and lose!) trading off price differences based on somewhat cyclical patterns (daily, seasonally, etc.)
what does that have to to with home inspections, or homes for that matter ?
new systems like tesla powerwall will revolutionize how power is used in the home, providing opportunities to homeowners they had little access to in the past ... power STORAGE !
we'll have to "pay" for it, of course :(
"commercial producers" have a right to sell power for a profit, homeowners do not ... this is something that needs to be addressed, without reaching conclusions i am inclined to say if we produce more locally, we can smartly create a new smaller scaled down WAY more productive grid.
everyone can win, local power generation and consumption is ideal ... if everyone created their own power, in theory there would be no need for a grid, but it is STORAGE that is key, so this is a great example of disruptive technology, early, at work, doing what it does #disrupting

Jeff Bond Smart thinking. :)
ReplyDeleteA chicken in every pot and two power walls in every garage.
ReplyDeleteJeff Bond I'm a big fan of golf cart batteries used them for years on my live aboard sailboat they are still the best bang for your buck ( cost and longevity )
ReplyDeleteIf storage can be solved ...who needs the stupid grid with all it's line losses anyway, he says hopefully.
ReplyDeleteRon Serina yes, I love that you sound so good, how are you doing today?
ReplyDeleteRon Serina where are you from
ReplyDeleteRoxan attie Maine
