Better Stories Faster
Interview with Sean Platt of Sterling and Stone
“Stop self-editing yourself would be my best suggestion. Be prepared when you get down to the keyboard, because a lot of people don’t know what to write or they take too long to write because they’re struggling over what to write. I don’t think those decisions for the most part should be battled against a blank page; you should be thinking about that before you start writing. I think most people confuse prewriting with actual writing.”

Zara Altair very true!!!
ReplyDeleteThis past week this was the topic of how one comes up with all the stories. I stated, you live them, dream them, see them and then write.
Before I write, it is time to relax, the stories flood, same with speeches. maybe I will have a topic, that is the easy part, the difficult part is being quiet, allowing the dream/creative part to bubble to the surface, translate into a story. There is no struggle except to keep the fingers going at lightening speed as the thoughts.
Cheers, Good JOB!
MicheleElys MER Yep, the topic is definitely the easy part. :D Being quiet is the most productive time. When writing for others that time is almost impossible to explain. :)
