Stand Up To Doubt
There’s a line to be tread. Healthy critical examination, questioning status quo, truly taking a look at what it is we’re doing, our “why” and our mission, our relationships, systems, procedures. Those are important elements to self-awareness in a business. As they also are for an individual. Either way. We need to take stock from time to time to nurture and firm up our foundation of self-belief. Quiet our doubt.
It is often through that investigatory process that we can really see and then accept the reality of our own achievements. Finding and committing to the deep motivations we hold dear, the passions we talk about so freely takes some introspection.
And when we take that time we are often delightfully surprised at all we have already accomplished that can be applied in any situation.
It’s not just for fun, though. Without self-belief, we are kind of sunk. It drives us, feeds the passion and the energy to excel.
”An organization that does not believe in its mission statement, its reason for being in business and in its ability to meet all challenges will struggle to find the necessary energy to deal with unexpected challenges as they arise. The same applies to individuals within it. A sense of mission and the knowledge that each belongs to something greater than themselves is required if they are to deliver the sort of peak performance modern business challenges require.”
”Self-belief in one’s training and capabilities, necessary to silence the mental dissonance of doubt.”
”Self-belief plays a pivotal role in success.”
