I thoroughly recommend using memory techniques to improve our cognitive skills Zara Altair
ReplyDeleteHarry Lorayne's techniques allowed him to memorise everyone's name and face in crowds of thousands because he met them all personally at the door in his meetings. He used to offer a prize to anyone who could trip him up on it and no one ever received it, as far as I know. (https://goo.gl/dBWdJP)
Fortunately, I was exposed to these mnemonic memory techniques when I was quite young. It made my exams a breeze and learning became a fun exercise especially with all the word play and visualisation that it naturally generates.
Yet best of all, I was eventually able to utilise it to connect up the hidden patterns behind language for my Conceptual Thesaurus (which I released in 2009) This process quite unwittingly allowed me to develop CISE with these myriad of connections as a guideline.
The method remains undoubtedly the best I have ever encountered for memorising anything. It also creates a natural form of observation through his well-known OAR technique
