If you are in the PNW and near the wild fires which have consumed over 1,000,000 acres across the various states, please take a moment and take aboard the advice from the City of Buckley Fire Department

~ If you live anywhere near the forest fires that are decimating the Northwest, please be aware that the animals are fleeing the fires and they may show up in your yards. The forestry department is urging you to bring your animals in at night and let the wild ones pass through. Please put out buckets of water for them. They are scared, exhausted & have lost their homes. They need to refuel and feel some semblance of safety.

  1. Zara Altair Thank you for posting this. So few people know about how Wild Animals need nourishment while fleeing for their lives. Water is Most Essential, also some grain or rice grain mixed with water in a huge tub. It will not catch on fire and will save many animals from starvation
