Get Through the Next Minute
Get Through the Next Minute
David Amerland illustrates how.
Whatever your physical activity challenge, getting through the next minute of challenge helps build your brain.
As your brain works you can get through the next minute of work projects, too.
The body. The brain. They work together to build minute by minute.
Read The Sniper Mind: Eliminate Fear, Deal with Uncertainty, and Make Better Decisions http://geni.us/SniperMind, to learn how the brain and the body work together. Then train yourself to be a better you.

Ground Yourself
You really can't separate the mind from the body. If you don't work on keeping your body fit, your mind also begins to decline. The thing is that while we can see physical decline (we move slower, get tired faster, ache more) mental decline is largely invisible and by the time it isn't, it is too late.
There are many personal reasons I choose to work with the heavy bag. The fact that it reduces me to a sweaty, exhausted mess no matter how fit or unfit I feel, smart or dumb I think I am (and that is always up for grabs on the day) is a humbling experience that I use as an anchor. It tells me that I am real and that I am no better than anyone else.
You can find something else to do. It doesn't matter what as long as it physically challenges you to the point where you really need to use your mind and willpower to get through the next minute. The effect then will be the same.
Actions that challenge us force us to reappraise the smallness of our self and they tend to, for a while at least, get rid of the ego. Now, if you ever want to try your hand at a little grounding this may be of particular help: https://goo.gl/EiBzfj
