Google Does Not Use LSI

Google Using LSI is like someone using a smart telegraph device for their mobile needs. It is an old technology, and there are newer technologies to index content that have been invented. "Using LSI" is not the same as "using synonyms". It is an actual technology that was invented before the Web existed, and was invented to work on much smaller and more static document collections than the Web.
