The story of how the French artists became known today as The Impressionists, is a great example of the ups and downs of working collaboratively. This unusual event begins with a regale of this bygone tale. It leads into a series of five 20-minute modern stories and round the table ‘What’s In It For Me’ discussions that bring collaboration to life for Bournemouth Creatives working together in the 21st Century.
We will be live streaming on Facebook and on Google+ Live Hangouts so that if you don’t qualify or can’t make this date, you won’t have to miss out. We are also collaborating with our French Recreate friends across the Channel. In addition to the great line up of speakers, there is a free networking lunch to which we have invited local Creative Support Agencies.
09.30 – Registration and informal networking
10.00 – A warm Anglo/French welcome from Sarah Veakins of Outset Bournemouth and introducing The Creative Art of Working Together with Laura McHarrie
10.20 – Looking for Collaborative Opportunities with Clare Belmont – Sometimes your route to market may not be quite so straight forward as you think. Clare shares where she looks for opportunities to deliver collaborative work and where she finds the collaborators. Then at 10.40 - WIIFM discussion points.
11.10 – The Collaboration Game with Mike Hawkyard & Daniel Britton – These two disparate business owners explain their collaboration to access funding from Creative England. One is a start up online learning business, the other produces digital games for companies like Lego. Then at 11.30 - WIIFM discussion points.
12.00 – Wedded Bliss with Laura McHarrie – However great a relationship you have with your potential working partner, you need to set out a pre-nup so that the values and vision for the working relationship are nailed. Laura offers not only some great tips but also some tools to help you get there. Then at 12.20 - WIIFM discussion points.
