Hangouts' Last Seen indicator showing up in more places
This has been a very slow rollout since the Dec. 10, 2014 update it seems. For me it finally started showing up on my desktop browser just yesterday.
The Last Seen indicator shows in the Hangout Message Box chat areas that are accessed via the right-sided Hangout Sidebar on desktop. It also shows on your Mobile App.
Here is the official Google Help page on the feature:

If you don't want people knowing that you are interacting with Hangout chats, etc. you can adjust your settings in the areas shown here. Open up the Hangout Sidebar via the upper right Hangout logo, then choose the dropdown menu (1) to access the menu of settings. Adjust (2) and then close the menu pane via the X in the upper right.

I'm still researching what all the elements are that are involved with this "last seen" setting... I'll let you know when I find out the extra details. h/t: Ben Fisher for asking me if the feature was 'seen' much yet.

Zara Altair thanks for helping spread the news. Sometimes it is hard to be in 'stealth' mode unless we know where to press the buttons!
