Did you miss the conversation about Belligerent Dumbass Even with Oleg Moskalensky and David Amerland?
Did you miss the conversation about Belligerent Dumbass Even with Oleg Moskalensky and David Amerland?
I feel as though it should be required listening for those who study online marketing.
David Amerland:
Definitely not an easy subject to tackle and Oleg Moskalensky knocked it out of the park using an incident to highlight an entire transition we are all in the midst of. As you can see from Alexandra Riecke-Gonzales' comments nothing is cut-and-dried and yet, it's not rocket science either. Choose open instead of closed. Real instead of fake. Contribute value before you sell. Help before you ask. It's the transition of the 4Ps (Product, Place, Price and Promotion) of the 20th century to the 4Es (Experience, Everywhere, Exchange and Evangelism) of the 21st. Formulaic still to a degree but the formula has morphed into something way more human now.

The name says it all, doesn't it?
David Amerland and I will have a philosophical discussion on this topic. The words come from a mouth of a 'successful Internet marketer', author and copywriter, who allegedly made millions. He was in a hangout with someone I considered a friend, who relayed to him a comment of mine that was totally benign and was intended to be helpful... his response was a stunt where yours truly got called by the first 2 words in the heading here, with the 3rd word being how the whole thing got started. Some of you may know who and what I'm talking about, but I tend to simply ignore people of such low caliber... that, however prompted me to have this conversation with someone of very high caliber - David Amerland , someone I have an intense respect & admiration for, and discuss the fine line between attempts at honest & well-intentioned influence and malicious manipulation whose goal is strictly to make you part with your money, regardless of the human consequences of such actions.

Very kind of you to say this and share the hangout, Zara Altair.
ReplyDeleteFor me - it's always a pure delight to be in the same 'room' with David Amerland, discussing anything, and this, IMHO, was a relevant topic to consider and ponder. Again, thank you for listening and watching :)
Oleg Moskalensky it was a real pleasure.
