What is an SEO AUDIT and why should you take the time and effort to perform a basic SEO audit?

Well this is a very important issue that not many folks understand.  SEO has evolved over the years to include so many new SEOVI or Search Engine Optimisation Value Indicators.  Most folks within the online marketing industry only consider a very small portion of these SEOVI, and many do not even understand that there are a whole new category of SEOVI called #STFSEOVI   or Semantic Trust Factor Search Engine Optimisation Value Inductors.

This article is a very basic introduction to these issues of why you need to get a professional to do your SEO audit, but how to choose that professional is a very difficult task.  Do not just take the first option, and do not allow your current SEO team to do the audit.

You should ask your current team for advice on who to choose to do the audit, and discuss this with a few different SEO service providers, asking what sort of issues they will address, and the basic out line of the process that they will follow.

Take all this into consideration, then sit down with your marketing team, and discuss all your options, and choose one of those on your list after careful consideration of how each different part of your marketing is represented within the SEO audit, as they all contribute to your total SEO impact.

questions like these need to be answered.  this list is not a complete list, and does need to be expanded considerably during your in house marketing meeting discussing your SEO audit.

are all departments aware of their impact on the TOTAL SEO IMPACT?

Is your social medias team aware of their influence on your SEO in the different fields that are discussed such as
a) INFLUENCER MARKETING ,
b) link building
c) content marketing
d) SEM or Search engine marketing
e) relationship building
f) image functionality and exif data

Do you use micro data to expand the context of your online content

Do you perform cross media marketing

who is in charge of your SEO and why that specific person

do you use holistic marketing or are there SILOS within your marketing team

is your key word,  product research and target market research shared across all marketing platforms, or are there  silos within your marketing department

Does every body within your marketing team understand the purpose of your marketing, and do you have a marketing policy in place that has been read and understood by each individual within your marketing team?

Do you have an SEO policy in place, and does this SEO policy comply with holistic or #FUFISM   based  standards.

Do you understand that an SEO audit will cause many changes to your SEO policies and how you manage the reporting structures around your online marketing so that all involved will be able to understand their personal impact, and be able to make any adjustments needed.

Take your time and read this article as it will allow you to understand the scope of the problems that arise when poor SEO is not addressed.
