  1. Adam Zale I read the same book about influencing others. If I recall correctly, he said that we should research your contact's passions and interests.

Which I think is the reason people should be real in social media. Every posts doesn't have to be about business? I'm fascinated with earth ships and aquaponics; sustainable living. That would be a doorway a salesperson might take instead of the direct sales pitch strategy and strike up a conversation with me about my interests.

    Agree?

  2. Denver Prophit Jr. , not only do I agree I intend to practice that very thing. It is commonly thought that people do business with people they like as often as they can. I can post business related topics all day. But then, how am I different? How am I connecting, truly, with the people I want to interact with? These are questions I hope to answer for myself with the G+ network. I've already started meeting people that share interests.

I find that immensely more valuable than just winning a new client. Clients that I win because I've involved content marketing through social media, especially personal interests, tend to be fantastic fans of the work we do as well.

When you are responsible for impacting a bottom line you have to ask yourself "how do I provide value?". Recently I've challenged myself to provide value to my circles far beyond an ROI. I do not just want to return investment, I want to enrich the lives of those I connect with. I believe a side effect of this good work will be to enrich my own life.

    :)

An easy way to sum up my philosophy: most everyone is good at heart, be the change you want to see.
