Okay, so that was kind of obvious, but what has not been obvious (until now) are what the effects of gravitational ripples look like.
Who cares?
I thought this summed it up well, “For centuries, astronomers have been looking up at the night sky and thinking about the light side of the universe. Now we’re going to get our first look at the dark side. There’s every expectation that it will be just as rich and exciting.”
