Warning this is a long read. And the picture is not pretty. But it is balanced, intelligent and sensible.

I don't agree with the headline or the byline. Democracy is the reason for these changes. The British people voted. Then, the losers of the vote wanted another vote because they were home asleep, thinking their vote didn't matter. They were wrong.
ReplyDeleteIn the United States, we had our chances to select people other than Hillary and Trump. But the people voted and now they're whining about their choices. But that's democracy.
It shows that the current path the world in all, at each rung from the UN to the Township, where status quo is alive and well, is not working. The people want change. They've had change dangled before them on a string off a stick, leading them to uncertainty. They see the world shaking under the promise of equality, but from the lips of those who seek elite exemption from those very laws that would take from them also. So they woke up.
That's what this is about. Ideology: From the power hungry to the real oligarchs; this isn't about unity. Every country following the United Nations requirement to be more socialistic, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, is doing it wrong because the ruling classes that have appeared as career politicians are as corrupt as the UN itself.
It'll be interesting to see how the world turns in the next two years. By 2018, we'll know whether the world grows up and everyone works together instead of against each other's categories and hatred, or if we descend into World War of ideologues to define which will live and which will die.
