Apple Turnovers from Scratch
Home made puff pastry filled with a sugar-sweetened grated apple filling with a touch of lemon juice. Then sprinkled with a cinnamon-sugar topping.
I would add a touch of cinnamon to the apple filling. The coarsely grated apple gives a consistent texture to the filling and prevents pieces from falling out as you eat the tasty pastries.
The pastries can be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.

They look delicious. In Holland they are called "Appelflap".
